Friends of Music Concerts presents the Tesla Quartet

Friends of Music Concerts, celebrating 72 years of presenting the finest in professional chamber music, presents the Tesla Quartet in concert on Sunday, Oct. 19, 3:00 p.m.

Performances are scheduled to take place at Sleepy Hollow High School’s Kusel Auditorium, 210 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., with ample free parking and handicapped access. Please note that traffic is very busy in the area in the fall so patrons should leave extra time for travel.

Inspired by engineer and electricity pioneer Nikola Tesla, the quartet joins in this year’s worldwide celebration of the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth, performing his String Quartet in F Major.

Their program also includes Mozart’s String Quartet No.14 in G Major K. 387, “Spring,” and “Plan and Elevation” by Caroline Shaw, which references the Ravel and Mozart quartets.

The Tesla members are Ross Snyder and Michelle Lie, violins; Edwin Kaplan, viola and Austin Fisher, cello. At this performance, Keiko Tokunaga will substitute for Michelle Lie. FOMC invites audience members to meet the artists at a post-concert reception, sponsored at this concert by Marketing and Communications Director Solange De Santis.

Tickets are $40 for adults, free for those age 18 and under, and available here. Buy four or more admissions, usable by anyone at any concert, in a FlexSub and pay $35 per ticket. Purchase tickets here: https://friendsofmusicconcerts.org/. Information about FOMC’s 2025-26 season is here.
