
Summer is closer than it feels as Westchester County Parks Summer Camp registration begins on Monday, February 9 at noon with Slam Dunk Basketball Camp and Hole-in-One Jr. Golf Camp.
Slam Dunk Basketball Camp, located at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, is offered to children entering grades three through eight, and provides campers with the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the game and develop their basketball skills. One-week sessions are offered from Monday, July 6 through Friday, August 7.
Hole-in-One Jr. Golf Camp is for children and teens ages seven through 17, to learn the fundamentals of golf, hone their skills and develop confidence. Dates and time vary per golf course. Camp is offered at Maple Moor in White Plains, Mohansic in Yorktown Heights, Saxon Woods in Scarsdale, and Dunwoodie and Sprain Lake in Yonkers.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “Westchester County Parks’ summer camps offer children the chance to stay active, curious and connected all summer long. From sports to nature exploration and hands-on farm experiences, these programs give children the opportunity to learn new skills, make friends and create lasting memories.”
Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Kathy O’Connor said: “Our park settings lend themselves to unique learning experiences and encourage kids to be adventurous. Being immersed in natural environments allows campers to explore, build confidence, and experience summer in a way that only our parks can provide.”

- Muscoot Farm Young Wranglers: Thursday, February 12 at noon
- Nature Camps: Tuesday, February 24 at noon
- Lasdon Explorers Summer Program: Monday, March 2 at noon
- Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center Summer Camp Program: Wednesday, March 4 at noon
- Learn to Swim: March TBD
