Midland School Celebrates Ribbon Cutting For New Addition

Midland School officially celebrated the completion of its new addition and South Playground with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 19, marking an exciting milestone for the school community.

Designed to foster collaboration and enhance student learning, the newly expanded spaces are already bringing fresh energy to daily life at the school. Since the new wing opened on May 7, teachers have started using the learning commons, while incoming fifth graders are set to move into the new classrooms this fall.

“We are excited to welcome students into the space and see it become an active part of the school day,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tricia Murray said. “The new wing looks incredible – it is bright, welcoming and thoughtfully designed. At every stage of the project, our focus remained on delivering a high-quality space for our students and families, and we are proud of what has been accomplished.”

Special thanks to the school and district administrators, as well as members of the PTO and RFE whose leadership and support helped bring this project to life. Dr. Murray also recognized Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations Gaby Perruccio and Director of Facilities Rob Gimigliano for their leadership and dedication in guiding this project to completion. She also thanked Midland School Principal Jim Boylan and Assistant Principal Bianca McHale for their partnership and support throughout the process.
