Maria Regina HS’s Newly Established DECA Chapter Officially Recognized at State Career Conference

Maria Regina High School junior Madison Wittock of Yonkers displays the DECA Charter Chapter certificate officially recognizing the school’s DECA chapter, which the renowned all-girls Catholic high school established in the 2025-’26 school year. A member of Maria Regina’s inaugural DECA team, Madison attended the New York State DECA Career Conference in Rochester with the chapter’s moderator, Mrs. Shelagh Amann, to accept the certification.

As a result of earning fifth place in the Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series in DECA’s regional competition earlier this year, Madison had the honor of advancing to and competing in the state competition. The other members of Maria Regina’s team

who, along with Madison, successfully completed the first part of the conference season are juniors Kylie McLynn of Yonkers and Nicole Seery of Yonkers, Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team; Isabella Ovalles of Scarsdale, Retail Merchandising, and Kaitlyn Clark of Yonkers, Restaurant and Food Service Management.

As part of the renowned international DECA organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs, Maria Regina chapter students have unique opportunities to pursue real-world learning, hone skills, and participate in regional, state, and national competitions in the fields of marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, hospitality, and business management.

“The establishment of the DECA chapter builds on Maria Regina’s distinguished record in empowering young women with the knowledge and skills they need to be globally competitive,” said Principal Maria Carozza-McCaffrey (Class of ’99)
