99th Yonkers Marathon Registration now Open

Mayor Mike Spano announced today that registration is open for the 99th Yonkers Marathon, organized by the City of Yonkers Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department. The event, set for Sunday, September 20, 2026, will feature a Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K, all starting at 8:00 AM at the Yonkers Train Station located at Buena Vista Avenue along the Yonkers Waterfront. Runners can register now at yonkersny.gov.

“Each year, runners from across the region and beyond rise to meet the challenge of our historic course,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “Our hills demand strength and resilience, but the true reward is the journey through one of the most scenic, spirited, and storied cities in the Northeast. The Yonkers Marathon is more than a race—it is a testament to endurance, to community, and to the unwavering determination that keeps athletes returning year after year.”

Yonkers Parks Commissioner Steve Sansone added: “This year, we will celebrate this fine Yonkers tradition during our country’s 250th Anniversary. Come out and join us for the celebration.”

The Yonkers Marathon is the second-oldest marathon in the United States, certified by USA Track & Field, and serves as a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.
