9 Maria Regina HS Students Distinguish Themselves at NYU Italian Poetry Contest

Nine Maria Regina High School Italian language students recently distinguished themselves at the prestigious Annual New York University Casa Italiana Italian Poetry Contest organized by the Italian Teachers Association. They competed against high school teams throughout the region, rcciting the works of great Italian poets before a panel of judges. Two of the students from the renowned all-girls Catholic high school— Lillian Hinsliff of Scarsdale and Francesca Sindona of Yonkers— captured third place medals.

Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU was founded by 1990 by Baroness Mariuccia Zerilli-Marimò to promote Italian culture through free events related to Italian studies.
