Osborn Elementary School Unveils new Wing with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Osborn Elementary School unveiled its brand-new wing during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 27, marking the long-anticipated opening of the new addition. Fifth graders arrived in the morning eager to explore the new space and begin learning in their updated environment.

“We are absolutely thrilled to finally reach this incredible milestone,” Osborn School Principal Angela Garcia said. “This transition is a joyful and celebratory experience for our students.”

Throughout the day, the students explored the features of their wing and learned new routines. They located the two classrooms they will use for their core classes, organized their lockers and received an introduction to the Learning Commons, a flexible space designed to support collaboration and independent work. They also reviewed expectations for navigating the new space.

“Our teachers and custodial staff worked incredibly hard to ensure all furniture and materials were moved and that classrooms were fully prepared for learning,” Garcia said. “We are so proud of our fifth graders. They have truly earned this beautiful new space, and we look forward to seeing them thrive in it.”
