Northwell’s Phelps Hospital earns high marks in USNWR’s Best Hospitals rankings

Northwell’s Phelps Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for excellence in patient care, rated High Performing in three critical adult procedures and conditions in the 2026-27 Best Hospitals rankings.

This achievement is one of many for Northwell Health, which was the most awarded health system in the New York tri-state area for the sixth consecutive year*.

Phelps was rated High Performing in the following adult procedures and conditions:

· Colon cancer surgery

· Hip replacement

· Kidney failure

Phelps was also recently recognized as a High Performing hospital for maternity care, which U.S. News evaluates separately each year. It also achieved an 88% patient recommendation rate, underscoring the hospital’s commitment to patient satisfaction.
