
Students at Milton School showcased their musical talents during the annual fourth and fifth grade spring concert on May 7, featuring performances by the chorus, band and orchestra.
Under the direction of orchestra director Yunshim Kim, the fourth grade orchestra performed “Mozart Melody” while the fifth grade orchestra performed “Wexford Circle.” The combined fourth and fifth grade orchestras performed “Miniature Symphony,” “Ode to Joy” and “Sakura.”
Led by band director Andrew Pease, the fourth grade band performed a variety of folk songs, including “Around the World,” “Boil Them Cabbage Down,” “Eagle Summit March,” “London Bridge” and “Mary Ann.” The fifth grade band performed “Around the World,” “Galactic Episode,” “Jasmine Flower,” “Minka Minka” and “Polly Wolly Doodle.” The combined fourth and fifth grade bands performed “Pirates Cave” and “Dragon Dance.”
Under the guidance of chorus director Leah Sperber, the fifth grade chorus performed “Fruit Canon” while the combined fourth and fifth grade chorus sang “Golden,” “Happiness” and “How Can I Keep from Singing?”
